About the Event
We will have the privilege of hearing from the Director of the Coordination Department of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Eliav Benjamin.
This event will be in an interview format. Mr. Benjamin will be interviewed by our very own Dr. David Banks.
Eliav Benjamin’s responsibilities include developing relations with countries yet to establish formal ties with the State of Israel, including much work towards the formalisation of relations with UAE and Bahrain. Prior to his current position, Mr. Benjamin served in a number of positions in Israel, including: Chief of Staff for the Political Director of the MFA, Political Advisor to the DG and Chief of Staff for the Deputy DG of Public Diplomacy. Mr. Benjamin spent spent terms of duty overseas, as Counselor for Political Affairs at the Embassy of Israel in Washington DC and DCM in the Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai.
Attending this event is a unique opportunity to hear and learn from an expert in the field of diplomacy, foreign affairs and negotiation.
Following the interview, students will have the opportunity to ask questions to both speakers.
