Gianella Peña Barbery is a second-year International Relations student. She was born and raised in Ecuador, where she had the honor to participate in political forums while in high school. Her interest in diplomacy began here and was further fueled by her participation in Model United Nations in high school, which she continued at university.  Her interest in communications and media arose from her passion for diplomacy. She realized that the only way to create effective relations is to communicate purposes and views properly. As a communications officer, her aim is to create a tighter community by sharing the latest events, news, and activities that the society has to offer.
